Firehouse Subs to Donate AED Unit to Elim’s Crossroads Program

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation gives away millions of dollars each year to first responders. On Thursday July 31st at 3:00 pm, two public service providers in the southwest suburbs of Chicago will be formally presented grants and you are cordially invited to the dedication ceremony.
Elim Christian Services has been awarded an AED valued at $1,458.95. This AED will benefit the children with disabilities served by Elim. There are many students with medical needs and with feeding issues (including students with difficulty swallowing). Individuals who struggle with swallowing are prone to choking; if staff is unable to resolve a choking situation, CPR may be needed to save the life of a student, and an AED is critical in this situation!

These equipment donations have been made possible by the generous donation of patrons of the Firehouse Subs of Orland Park as well as Firehouse Subs restaurants around the country. We anticipate the participation of many leaders from Fire Departments, Police Departments, community organizations, schools, citizen groups and villages as well as the press at the dedication ceremony.
