Elim Learning continues to empower local, faith-based schools to thrive as they wrestle with the challenges of blended and remote learning. Thanks to your continued support, we have reinvented the way that we partner with schools during this unique time.
One of these partnerships was recently launched with Chicago Christian High School (CCHS) in Palos Heights, Illinois. With tremendous pressure on teachers right now, professional development must be efficient and tailored to the current reality. Elim and CCHS are teaming up to offer short, targeted workshops on topics like Bridging the Gap of In-Person and Remote Instruction, Effective Zoom-based Learning, and Digital Executive Functioning.
The Learning Team developed a zoom space with engaging activities, polls, and break-out discussions where teachers could learn from each other and tap into the expertise of Learning Coach Nick Milano. According to Principal Mike Drury, “Today was a great opportunity for members of my staff to meet in a small group to wrestle with the challenges of remote learning. The small setting allowed for a more free-flowing dialogue amongst the group that led to some breakthroughs and new insights shared by all.”
Because of these collaborative learning sessions, CCHS teachers were able to address the unique challenges they face under a hybrid teaching model.
The Learning program continues to strengthen collaborative relationships and come alongside schools during this challenging season. Because of you, Elim Learning continues to equip teachers to help all students thrive, whether in the classroom or learning from home.
