You are developing world-changers at Elim! That's why it's the theme of our annual impact report. It's just one of the values we pursue at Elim, where:
This Elim impact report is a testimony of what God is doing with our obedience to His call. In this impact report you will encounter the stories of children and adults who are living out their value and purpose within God’s kingdom. In that process, they are changing the world and blessing so many who live in it.
In contemporary society, value and purpose are so strongly linked to what we do or contribute that there is little room for inherent value and purpose. This “common path” is inconsistent with God’s design. By promoting the inherent value and purpose of every individual, Elim proclaims a truth that each of us, with our abilities and disabilities alike, is of immeasurable value to God and purposed to be a co-laborer in His kingdom. This is the “kingdom path.”
The kingdom path is evident in many lives at Elim. One person that comes to mind quickly is a young lady named Melissa. You may remember Melissa. We introduced you to her in "Melissa's World" back in 2001. Melissa’s story has touched so many lives! I want to re-introduce Melissa to you today, not just as a student of Elim, and not even as a recent graduate, but as a world-changer!
Melissa knows she’s making a difference. “Sometimes I can encourage someone with just my smile. And sometimes, I encourage others with what I say with my device…I am thankful that Elim taught me to focus on what I can do and not on what I cannot do.” You can watch Melissa’s inspirational story now. I encourage you to view it, forward it to others, show it at your church – share with the world that God has equipped Melissa, too, to be a world-changer.
As you read the stories in this annual impact report, I pray that you will be:
If you are moved and blessed by these stories, and if you want to help us develop even more world-changers to build God's kingdom, then please click here to make gift today, not just in response to this report, but in response to what is happening, by God's grace, through this Christ-centered community.
For the glory of God and the building of His kingdom,
