We were all greeted with a cheerful “Good morning” in the hallway from Tony as we got ready for breakfast this morning. Tony, being as excited as he was, reminded us that it was almost time to go see the kids at Nicaragua Christian Academy. The principal of the school greeted us and after a quick introduction we were off to observe some students. We were divided up into groups of two to observe 6 different students throughout their establishment. Two hours of observations, and many laughs later, it was time to meet with the principal to discuss the information that we had collected from our observations. After wrapping up our meeting, it was time to run to the grocery store to grab some needed items for lunch.
>We then headed to Tesoros De Dios (God’s Treasures) School where we had lunch and anxiously awaited for the students to arrive. The staff were so excited to receive the communication books and school supplies that we had brought. They were so anxious that they immediately wanted to know more. Finally, it was time for the students to arrive. Our afternoon was spent laughing and getting to know students, like Lot, that attend this wonderful school.
After the students left, we headed back to Quinta Arien, our home away from home, and had some dinner. We then decided to wrap up the day with some worship and prayer to focus our minds and our hearts. We look forward to what tomorrow may hold and are grateful for this experience here in Nicaragua. Thank you for keeping the team in your prayers.
